Designing order

A modular storage system has a significant role as a vertical element that can determine the overall feeling of a space.
The project was devised as modular furniture to adapt to various contexts while rhythmically subdividing the space thanks to vertical wooden profiles that alternate with the stone doors. This maintains a clear visual order while allowing a free layout of functions such as column ovens and display cases.
A 7mm gap separates each element from the others, giving a sense of visual lightness yet resulting as one. Also, when the vertical doors cross the recessed handles’ detail – that develops horizontally – they create an interesting three-dimensional weaving, giving the surfaces a sense of deepness.
These details are the design language of WOOD LINE, taking in the whole project and defining its uniqueness.

The combination of different materials – such as American Walnut and Tuscan Pietra da Torre stone – expresses matters’ intrinsic allure thanks to the pure combination of the clear volumes.

秩序のデザイン

収納家具は空間における垂直性を構成し、また空間におけるその質感を決定づける重要な要素である。
このプロジェクトは空間にリズムを奏でながら様々な環境に適応するモジュール式収納家具としてデザインされました。WOOD LINEをもっとも特徴づけるのは垂直方向に際立つ木製部材から生まれるラインです。それらは明確な視覚的秩序を維持し、オーブンやガラス扉などをも取り込みながら自由なレイアウトを可能にします。
各エレメントの接点には７ミリの隙間が設けられており、視覚的な軽さを与えながら一つの集合体として寄り添うように構成されています。また垂直方向にリズムを生む凸形状のドアディテールに対して水平方向に伸びる凹形状のハンドルディテールは、 互いに立体的に交差する事で奥行きのある表情を生んでいます。これらのディテールはWOOD LINEにおけるデザインの共通言語としてプロジェクト全体へと展開され、このプロジェクトの独自性を決定づけています。

トスカーナ産の石であるPietra da Torreとウォールナット材という異素材の組み合わせは、その明確な造形から生まれる純粋性により素材本来の魅力が引き出されています。秩序と質感、このプロジェクトでは全てがそこに集約されていきました。
